As Hot Wheels’ 50^th Anniversary year comes to a close, we wanted to take a look back at what made the brand so successful right from the start. A big part of it was the commercials! If you were a kid growing up in the late ‘60s-early ‘70s you know that those ads made Hot Wheels look like the fastest, coolest toys ever—especially those race sets!

Sure, the music and the clothing—and those haircuts!—might seem a little dated today, but the essential message about the speed, excitement and fun of Hot Wheels still comes through after 50 years.
