The brightest news coming out of Dearborn these days concerns Ford’s ferocious Shelby GT500 Mustang, and Franklin is taking full advantage of the buzz that this modern-day muscle machine is creating by releasing its own 1:24 scale version. It will be a 5000-piece numbered, limited edition and it will feature all of the detail horsepower that Franklin is known for. The GT500 comes in Vista Blue with white stripesa vintage Shelby schemeand features a highly detailed supercharged V-8, scale interior and functioning suspension. The Franklin name means it should generate an avid collector following. Look for it in early spring at a projected price of $120.
