Once a factory super stocker is outdated they were often sold or converted and raced in another class. Sometimes they became match racers, such as this 1964 Falcon. An Acme ford R-code 427 wedge engine, wheels and tires were used as well as a scratch built straight axle front end and fender well headers. Note the “lightweight” front bumper, “a spray of dull coat”. Lots of detailing, suspension mods, traction bars and a selection of decals by various sources complete the look. These Falcons are good looking diecast’s for the money. A before and after photo may accompany this article. It will show a stock Falcon next to this car before I applied the decals. |
