Number One with a Bullet: Danbury Mint 1:24 1950 Studebaker

They got their start building wagons for the American Trail, but in 1950, Studebaker was building some of the wildest cars on the American Road. Painted in sahara sand, this 1:24 1950 “bullet-nosed” champion convertible comes with a removable fabric top and a soft vinyl boot cover. Virtually everything works, including the doors, hood, trunk, side vents, gas filler door, radio antenna, and the removable fender skirts. Add in a working suspension and steering, poseable sun visors, and tilting seat backs, plus a trunk that boasts a removable spare and a full set of fitted luggage, for a wide range of display options. The 169 cid, 85-horsepower flathead six is fully detailed, wired, and labeled below a scissor-hinged hood; beneath the model, the metal frame is finished off in satin black and detailed with brake and fuel lines and a serialized plaque. Bullet-nosed Studebakers are classics, and this limited edition release brings South Bend’s most memorable machine out in scale.
