Kyosho’s Gran Turismo Ferrari

Kyosho’s Gran Turismo Ferrari

When Ferrari released the 550 Maranello in 1996 it had no racing aspirations for the car—it was simply to be a big, fast, opulent cruiser to revive the tradition of the front-engine GT. But enterprising privateer teams and a resurgent GT class in sportscar racing changed the company’s mind, and the 575 Gran Turismo Competizione was born in 2004. Kyosho now makes a fascinating 1:18 version, replicating all the modifications that transform the street car to racer. Lift-off hood, trunk and an awesome interior highlight this interesting piece of Ferrari history.
