Kyosho’s 2010 Volkswagen Touareg

Kyosho’s 2010 Volkswagen Touareg

Volkswagen’s first official four-wheel drive SUV for the public debuted in 2004 and quickly positioned itself as a serious contender in the market.  All of the qualities and craftsmanship that Volkswagen is so well known for complimented the Tourage and filled a void in the their line-up of vehicles. No longer available with a V8 engine in 2010, Volkswagen offered Touareg buyers a choice between two V6 engines; a 280 hp 3.6L V6 or a 3.0L turbo diesel V6 which produces 221 hp and 407 lb-ft of torque. Both engines were paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and come standard with AWD.

Kyosho did a great job of recreating the Touareg in 1:18 scale right down to the V6 TSI engine.  Catching a glimpse of the interior offers a view of the faux wood grain steering wheel and accurately reproduced dashboard.  Dressed in Deep Back Pearl or  Graciosa Brown Metalic and delivering a high gloss finish these beauties will look great parked next to your classic Split-Windown Bus.
