Our colleagues over at RC Car Action came across this cool story about some 3/8-scale wind-tunnel models from the 1950s that Ford rigged for radio-control! The story, pics and video came courtesy of Mac’s Motor City Garage:
“…Tremulis and a studio staffer, Romeyne Hammond, constructed radio control systems, adapting six-volt car batteries, convertible top motors, and other full-size components from the Ford parts bins… Along with power, braking, and turning, the radio control system also reportedly operated the headlights, brake lamps, and turn signals.”
