FIRST SAMPLES: CMC’s 1:18 1960 Ferrari 250 California

Oh, we’ve tried. But we just can’t seem to keep the superlatives from flowing like a good red wine around here. CMC’s latest model has hit our table, and the words, most ending in exclamations, are just popping into our heads.

Forgive the enthusiasm. This latest from the German/Chinese model maker is truly a standout piece; while we’ll save the full review for our next print/digital issue (at the capable hands of our own Bill Bennett), we didn’t want to miss an opportunity to share the web’s first close-up shots of the finished, soon-to-be-released model in this gallery – push-button trunk release, removable wheels, and CMC’s usual hysterically-high parts count, and all – so you can start hearing those words in your head, too.

Just doing our jobs. Enjoy the snaps.

  1. Sweet that is real nice love it Joe

  2. Wow, what a cool iconic auto! The detail is spectacular for this model, and CMC just knows how to get it “RIGHT”

Simply a must have type of car for a California boy like me!

  3. From the rear it looks like an expensive MGB. LOL

  4. I received mine a few weeks back after a long pre-order wait – and boy it was worth it!!!
CMC has outdone themselves with this latest release.
I’m now looking forward to the release in other colours with the removable hardtop.

Seeing what is possible, will someone please make a high end Ferrari 275 GTB? Please Please Please!!!!
