A Treasure of an Eldorado

1:24 | $250/$350/$450

For all the famous muscle and sports cars GM design chief Bill Mitchell oversaw the development of, he will probably always be best known and most respected for the personal luxury coupes he created—the Buick Riviera, Oldsmobile Toronado, and the flagship Cadillac Eldorado seen here. Utilizing revolutionary front-wheel-drive transaxle (shared with the Olds) the Eldo was technologically advanced as well as exquisitely styled. Automodello has chosen the 1968 model year because it refined the first-year styling with integrated turn signals, rear side markers inside the Caddy crests, and the hood was streamlined to incorporate hidden wiper blades. The interior was all new and very cutting edge too, and the models showcase all of these features. As is their habit with the “ONE24” series, the Eldo comes in several colors and levels of exclusivity. The standard edition comes in Silverpine Green, while Tribute Editions (limited to just 68 hand-numbered examples each) come in San Mateo Red and Topaz Gold. Those desiring the ultimate in exclusivity can opt for one of the two Homage Editions—in Grecian White or Sable Black. Those are limited to just 24 pieces each!
