Over the past few years of reviewing limited edition diecasts from Automodello, nothing surprises us. The premium maker consistently comes up with cars that could have been forgotten. But, these were beautiful machines that are worthy of staying alive. The latest scale honorary is the Fitch Phoenix. Based on, of all things, the Chevrolet Corvair, John Fitch added one of the more beautiful and progressive bodies of the time. The modified Corvair engine delivered plenty of punch. Automodello handcrafted the unique car with stunning details and an ideal finish. The interior is remarkable—especially in 1:43 scale. Sadly, only one Phoenix was built—the prototype. Automodello will offer just 192 of this superb collector items. It comes complete with display case and numbered plate.
