Porsche’s RS Spyder shook up the endurance racing world with the debut of its LMP2 prototype. Almost immediately the immaculately prepared cars — campaigned in the US by none other than Team Penske — challenged the much more powerful LMP1 cars for overall race wins, and took their fair share.
