It’s the 1911 Marmon Wasp driven to victory in the first ever Indy 500 by Ray Harroun. Not only did the Wasp win the first ever 500 mile event at Indy, it holds several other significant accomplishments. Among them being: The first single seat race car to run at Indy. The first automobile ever fitted with a rear view mirror which Harroun himself designed and mounted. Harroun to this day holds the record for winning the race from the worst starting position. (28th place on the grid) The model is a sealed body resin design with the emphasis on the unique body shape of the car and all the visible exterior components.
