Coming this spring you will be able to walk into any Chevy dealership and order yourself an authentic Hot Wheels Special Edition Camaro you can drive every day! The thing so many Hot Wheels fans have been dreaming about since they could hold a diecast car and make racing engine and squealing tire noises (oh don’t pretend it was just us!) is finally a reality. This not some custom one-off or show queen — this is a real live production car anyone can buy!
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the launch of Hot Wheels in 1968, Chevy is offering the package on any 2LT (V6) or 2SS (V8) Camaro coupe or convertible, and it comes with a host of exclusive options, starting with the sizzling “Crush” orange paint with special stripes that simulate Hot Wheels’ classic twin race tracks. There are also proper Hot Wheels Swoosh badges, unique wheels and a bunch of other goodies.
And yes, there’s a 1:64 version too.
As if all that wasn’t enough, they’ve even announced that the Hot Wheels package will be an option on the 69 special COPO Camaro race cars! Those get exclusive “Supercrush” paint that is even wilder, which will look great flying through the 1/4-mile traps doing mid-8s at 160mph. (Demon who?)
