Mattel’s G Machines line is all about taking hot vehicle designs and tweaking, modernizing and generally amping them up to give them a bit more of what made the stock versions appealing to begin with. Pretty much every panel on the 1:24 ’71 Cuda has been massaged, but the changes aren’t blatant and the character of the original is preserved. The brilliant metallic orange paint works wonderfully with the flat black hood and does a great job of toning down the red billboard graphics. The blackout hood treatment and sidepipes are reminiscent of an AAR, but the stylized billboard graphics announce this is a big-buck-big-block Hemi. Interior features include a multipoint cage and a pistol-grip shifter.
