The Tour de France is the single biggest event in cycling, and it’s become an annual celebration and spectacle for the sport. Even as this is written, the ’06 Tour is underway. Though the focus is obviously on two-wheel, pedal-powered vehicles, automobiles have become a major part of the Tour, both as safety and support vehicles, but also as part of the show in the form of promotional platforms.
