Diecast review: LS Model Triumph TR6

Diecast review: LS Model Triumph TR6

The stocky little Triumph TR6 was the final iteration of the classic TR series before Triumph retooled with the wedge-shaped (and problem-plagued) TR7. For many, the TR6 represents the peak of the brand’s popularity and performance—the 2.5L inline-6 offering excellent performance and the squared-off contours looking tough and yet refined. The low stance on large wheels gave the TR6 a distinctive look, which LS Models’ resin 1:18 model captures nicely. The detail on those wheels is a standout feature, as is the interior, which even does a pretty good rendition of the walnut-veneer dash. Most TRs were built for export, but this one is a right-hand-drive domestic model. We’ve seen maroon and navy blue colors too, but in our opinion, the British Racing Green is the color to have!
