Danbury Mint revisits those Fabulous Finned ’50s!

Danbury’s newest 1:24 scale headliner is a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz in beautiful Dusty Rose. This color has a gentle pearl quality that makes it much more sophisticated than your typical pink Caddy, and it contrasts wonderfully with the chrome on the grille and rear flanks. The curvy rear quarters are what distinguish this car from other Caddy’s—and pretty much all lesser machines too—and of course Danbury nailed them. This sample wasn’t quite in finished form, but you’d never know it by looking—most companies wish their production pieces were this good. Other highlights include folding seatbacks and armrests, a removable spare, a three-piece tonneau cover and superior engine detail. If you don’t yet have a Danbury Mint piece in your collection, this would be a fine place to start.
