COOL VIDEO: Auto World’s “True L.E.” Tool Gets Destroyed – On Purpose!

Making a model car isn’t as easy as it may seem – and it sure isn’t cheap. Every model needs a pretty sophisticated “tool” – or mold set – to come to life as an authentic and durable diecast casting. That’s why we’re so jazzed about Auto World’s “True L.E.” series of 1:64 cars. As we can see in this first release – a wide-body custom 2010 Challenger – the models are very detailed, with jeweled headlights, full engines, and separate exhausts, and they’ll be strictly – and we do mean strictly – limited. Once the cars are produced, AW will destroy the tool, thereby making any further production impossible. Proof of the destruction is in every package in the form of actual shavings from the shredded mold. Want to see the first mold going bye-bye? Follow the link to see the Auto World video of the tool-fragging party. Try not to cry – too much.
