BMW’s version of the muscle car was the 1976 635CSi. Packed with big inline six-cylinder engine and a four-speed manual gearbox, these mid-size coupes were faster and handled better than Corvettes of the day. Plus, the BMW offered better build quality and a higher level of luxury. AUTOart’s small version is a diecast that is on par with larger, more expensive diecasts. The fit and finish is very good and the trim is first cabin. The hood opens to show off a detailed fuel-injected engine. The under side of the hood also sports insulated panels. The undercarriage is also detailed and the famous BMW wheels look great.
